This is an article about betting the over & under in sports gambling

Over/Under wagering in Sports Gambling

In professional sports there are many ways to make a bet
but my favorite and most profitable is called the Over/Under wager or the "total"
when betting this type of wager you are predicting either how much the two teams
playing will score or how little they will score

For example when betting professional hockey like the NHL the normal Over/Under will be set at 5 1/2 goals by the bookmaker and it is your job to determine if the combined score of both teams will be more or less than the 5 1/2 line

Personally i find betting the over to be much more fun and profitable especially in a sport like soccer where the Over/Under is usually set at only 2 1/2 goals
think about it...soccer is played over 90 minutes plus extra time and getting 3 goals
combined is not a lot to ask for especially in high scoring leagues such as the Netherlands and some leagues in Germany

Also betting the total in the NHL can be very profitable
but lately the scoring has been way down in hockey
so i would suggest finding a sportsbook that will let you adjust the total

Since the normal NHL total is usually set at 5 1/2 or 5 it's best you find a sportsbook that will let you adjust the Over/Under to 4 1/2...now you will be winning less doing this but your odds of winning will be GREATLY enhanced because the majority of hockey games usually end up on 5...think about it..if you bet over 4 1/2 all it takes is the hockey game to be tied at 2-2 and there is no way you can lose because it has to be decided in overtime and one of the teams will have to win 3-2! so this is a very profitable way to bet especially in a parlay

I also find baseball to be profitable when playing the total but it's much more difficult because the games vary based on the weather and that day's starting pitchers

The NFL and NBA also have over/under wagering but i usually stick to lower scoring sports because they are MUCH more predictable

I think if you study hard on which soccer games have the potential to score the most and set the line in hockey to only 4 1/2 you will turn a nice profit and will thank me later
