My NFL Football team picks for week #1, including a short summary.

This weeks schedule (point spread)

Dallas (+3 1/2) at NY Giants
Buffalo at NY Jets (+2)
Atlanta at Kansas City (+3)
Jacksonville at Minnesota (+3 1/2)
Indianapolis (+9 1/2) at Chicago
Philadelphia at Cleveland (+8 1/2)
Washington (+7 1/2) at New Orleans
St Louis (+7 !/2) at Detroit
Miami (+12 1/2) at Houston
New England at Tennessee (+5 1/2)
San Francisco (+5) at Green Bay
Carolina at Tamp Bay (+2)
Seattle at Arizona (+2 1/2)
Pittsburgh at Denver (+1 1/2)
Cincinnati (+6) at Baltimore
San Diego (+1) at Oakland

Favorite three

Giants -3 1/2
Defending Super Bowl champs are often slow to start the season. This is the best hope for the Cowboys. The Cowboys have issues along the offensive line. The Giants defensive line should have a big game. Take the Giants

Buffallo -2
The Jets couldn't score in the preseason....look for more of the same. All Buffalo needs to do is score 10 points to ensure a win, but a field goal could be enough.

Oakland -1
The Raiders, at home, on Monday Night. Period.

The middle

Kansas City +3
Should be one of the best games of opening week. Having Eric Berry back from injury will help contain the Falcons high flying receivers. Kansas City will be tough to beat at home.

Jacksonville - 3 1/2
Even missing training camp, MJD is too much for a Vikings team with no AP

Indianapolis +9 1/2
Welcome to the NFL, Andrew Luck. Your first game will be at Soldier Field in Chicago.
The Bears defense will give the top overall pick a good test. The Bears win a close one.

Philadelphia -8 1/2
Too many new players for Cleveland, and Richardson hasn't played. Philly just as dangerous with or without Vick.

New Orleans -7 1/2
The Saints have a big chip on their shoulder. Tough place for RG3's first start.

St Louis +7 1/2
Jeff Fisher will keep this close

San Francisco +5
This will be a close battle of division winners from last season.

Arizona + 2 1/2
Cards, coming off of strong finish in 2011, have a tough D. Hawks lacking at WR.

Pittsburgh -1 1/2
Still early in the season for an aging Steeler defense. Manning slightly rusty from season off.

Baltimore -6
Bengals won't sneak up on anyone this year. Ravens are loaded.

Three that worry me

Houston -12 1/2
Does Miami really have a QB?

Tennessee + 5 1/2
Can theTitans D contain the passing of Brady? Can the Titans O keep the ball away from Brady?

Carolina -2
How much better is the Buc offense? How do you contain Cam?
