A 100 word Drabble about the bookies always come out on top, The artwork was done by myself.

The Bookies always win

Today’s treat is a day at the races, we will all meet in the station at seven, all aboard and the bus conductor does a head count, five minutes later were on the motorway, the venue we reach, trackside is the target, seconds later we find a spot, The Tick Tack Toe man is waving his arm, so bets are placed, and they’re off, Moments later it’s the last furlong, the crowd cheering louder and louder, and there’s a winner, A few collect there winnings, and lots screw up their slip, seven races later, and the bookies win every time.

Horse

This is a drawing of a horse I did last year using graphite pencil on A4 paper, hope you like it, please let me know thank you.

Great drawing..

So true about the races, they do not have bookies or tick tack men here in Canada, but my wife has been to UK tracks and said they are more fun in addition to being more humane for the horses.

Love the drawing, you have captured the texture on the halter very well, something many would overlook.
