"Heroic Deeds" is a card game that I have designed and I am describing step by step wikinut. This is a description of a card for the "Heroic Deeds" deck of cards of "Heroic Deeds" there are two other decks already published.

This particular concept of card based gaming is completely my own and I reserve all rights to the game although I invite you to play it freely as well as to print out as many cards as you need for personal use. Any attempt to market this game in any way must first be permitted by myself.

Playing Heroic Deeds

"Heroic Deeds" is a card based roleplaying conceived and designed by myself. You can read all about it in previous articles I have published by clicking Here and Here.
The game is designed to be played by several players and one storyteller. I am publishing the cards for this game, one at a time here on wikinut and I invite readers to comment and make suggestions at any time.

Using the Heroic deeds deck

As previously described, the "Heroic Deeds" deck is used to help the players design their heroes for the game. The cards also help determine guidelines and limitations on what heroes can accomplish. Typically, every hero gets to draw four "Heroic Deeds" cards. It is possible to draw more than one of the same card. Players generally get to determine precisely how the cards they have drawn will help define who their hero is and what he can do.

Heroic speed

Doing things faster than others is a distinct advantage in nearly any encounter. This is true for running, fighting and cogitation as well. Although heroes are generally more physically fit than the average human, this is thanks to their active pursuit of danger and adventure. How much faster a hero with "Heroic speed" is than the average hero is dependent on how the speed is derived as well as taking into account considerations derived from the next paragraph. Heroic speed could be the result of skill, magic, or innate physical ability.

Choosing between narrow and broad and multiple cards

As with other "Heroic deeds" a player drawing the "Heroic speed" card must define how narrow or broad he is going define his card. A broad definition might be of a naturally fast hero, with lightning fast moves. Expending the card might allow for achieving incredible feats of speed such as what might be needed to catch a running horse or such similar deeds. A narrower definition might be a hero who is capable of entering a hypnotic trance during which he can preform feats with incredible speed and accuracy. A single use card might be the ability to invoke an incredibly effective power allowing feats of supernatural speed. This might allow for achieving multiple attacks, dodging crossbow bolts and the like.
As with other "Heroic deeds" cards it is possible for a player to draw more than one "Heroic speed" card. In that case the hero is capable of unnaturally fast movement at will. Perhaps, the hero has demonic blood in his veins or some other magical explanation. Expending the card could result in incredibly fast maneuvers catching arrows in mid flight and so on.

This game sounds interesting but one cannot say anything for certain without seeing the cards can they? However, I will continue to read and try to learn.
Nice article Legend.
