"Heroic Deeds" is a card game that I have designed and I am describing step by step wikinut. This is a description of a card for the "Heroic Deeds" deck of cards of "Heroic Deeds" there are two other decks already published.

This particular concept of card based gaming is completely my own and I reserve all rights to the game although I invite you to play it freely as well as to print out as many cards as you need for personal use. Any attempt to market this game in any way must first be permitted by myself.

A brief overview of the gaming concept of Heroic Deeds

"Heroic Deeds" is a card based roleplaying conceived and designed by myself. You can read all about it in previous articles I have published by clicking Here and Here.
The game is designed to be played by several players and one storyteller. I am publishing the cards for this game, one at a time here on wikinut and I invite readers to comment and make suggestions at any time.

Using the "Heroic deeds" deck of the Heroic Deeds game

As previously described, the "Heroic Deeds" deck is used to help the players design their heroes for the game. The cards also help determine guidelines and limitations on what heroes can accomplish. Typically, every hero get to draw four "Heroic Deeds" cards. It is possible to draw more than one of the same card. Players generally get to determine precisely how the cards they have drawn will help define who their hero is and what he can do.

Heroic necromancy

Necromancy is the magic associated with the dead and deceased spirits. Necromancy allows dealing with spirits, conversing with the dead, animating skeletons and zombies and even life draining. In extreme instances necromancy can also be used in reverse to affect healing, perhaps even bringing dead people back to life. Necromancy generally will have no effect on magical creations or creatures such as golems, elementals or demons. The level of power of the hero with a "Heroic necromancy" card and what he can do are limited by how he defines the card and details should be at least partially worked out with the storyteller.

Using heroic magic cards in Heroic Deeds

Cards of “Heroic Deeds” that involve magic are just as powerful as any other card but as is the nature of all “Heroic Deeds”, these cards are defined by how broad or narrow they are defined. Magic use needs some sort of explanation. The hero who has magic, needs to have some sort of background that explains his magical ability. This could be because the hero spent years studying an arcane art, perhaps he has some unique magical ancestry or simply a magical item that produces certain effects. Magic tends to give heroes a certain edge over more mundane people and is thus limited in other ways. If the magic is readily accessible to the hero, then its power will be minimal unless the card is expended, in which case a significant effect could be produced. Conversely, limiting the access of the hero to his magic increases its general power. another way of increasing the power would be to limit the effects of the card. Much like other “Heroic Deeds” cards, drawing two identical magic cards gives the hero greater access to readily availble magic. Unlike other “Heroic Deeds” cards, this holds true for any two “Heroic magic” cards.
