"Heroic Deeds" is a card game that I have designed and I am describing step by step wikinut. This is a description of a card for the "Heroic Deeds" deck of cards of "Heroic Deeds" there are two other decks already published.

This particular concept of card based gaming is completely my own and I reserve all rights to the game although I invite you to play it freely as well as to print out as many cards as you need for personal use. Any attempt to market this game in any way must first be permitted by myself.

An overview of the Heroic Deeds roleplaying game

"Heroic Deeds" is a card based roleplaying conceived and designed by myself. You can read all about it in previous articles I have published by clicking Here and Here.
The game is designed to be played by several players and one storyteller. I am publishing the cards for this game, one at a time here on wikinut and I invite readers to comment and make suggestions at any time.

Using the "Heroic deeds" deck

As previously described, the "Heroic Deeds" deck is used to help the players design their heroes for the game. The cards also help determine guidelines and limitations on what heroes can accomplish. Typically, every hero gets to draw four "Heroic Deeds" cards. It is possible to draw more than one of the same card. Players generally get to determine precisely how the cards they have drawn will help define who their hero is and what he can do.

Heroic flying

Although heroic travel has been previously described, a unique form of travel with many potential benefits is flying and thus "Heroic flying" is a "Heroic deeds" card unto itself. Methods by which heroes can fly can be many and varied. They might possess a device which permits flying such as a magic carpet or broomstick. Perhaps they use magic to propel themselves through the air, are innately capable of defying gravity or perhaps they simply possess wings. Although flying can provide a rapid and efficient means of travelling from place to place, flying is more than merely an effective form of transportation. Airborne heroes can avoid a variety of land based dangers, escape dangers, as well as use flying for scouting and surveying. Flying can even be used in a variety of ways in combat - bombarding, swooping etc.

Choosing between narrow and broad and multiple cards

As with other "Heroic deeds" cards it is up to the player to determine the extent of the power of his card. A broader definition will allow for more versatility in use of the card whereas a narrower definition will provide more power within the confines of the predefined usage. A broad definition might be for an airborne, magically levitating hero. The hero is able to rise or descend at will and travel at a speed similar to that of other walking and running heroes at similar efforts. Successfully flying against significant resistance, at a speed greater than a horse's gallop or while lifting a significant load might require expenditure of the card. A narrower definition might be a witches' broomstick. Flying on it occupies the hero's hands and concentration on the other hand a fair turn of speed can be achieved. Flying a breakneck speed, performing complex maneuvers, or preforming complex feats while flying might require expenditure of the card. A truly narrow definition of a single expenditure card could be a magical potion which, when consumed, grants the imbiber super flying powers, with amazing speed and maneuverability although for a limited duration only.
As with other "Heroic deeds" cards, it is possible to draw two "Heroic flying" cards. In such a case, the hero has access to a flying ability that is roughly the equivalent of the broomstick described above except that it is constantly available and active. Expenditure of card would allow achievements as described above although perhaps closer to the single use description.
