"Heroic Deeds" is a card game that I have designed and I am describing step by step wikinut. This is a description of a card for the "Heroic Deeds" deck of cards of "Heroic Deeds" there are two other decks already published.

This particular concept of card based gaming is completely my own and I reserve all rights to the game although I invite you to play it freely as well as to print out as many cards as you need for personal use. Any attempt to market this game in any way must first be permitted by myself.

How to play the roleplaying game of "Heroic Deeds"

"Heroic Deeds" is a card based roleplaying conceived and designed by myself. You can read all about it in previous articles I have published by clicking Here and Here.
The game is designed to be played by several players and one storyteller. I am publishing the cards for this game, one at a time here on wikinut and I invite readers to comment and make suggestions at any time.

Using the "Heroic deeds" deck of cards

As previously described, the "Heroic Deeds" deck is used to help the players design their heroes for the game. The cards also help determine guidelines and limitations on what heroes can accomplish. Typically, every hero gets to draw four "Heroic Deeds" cards. It is possible to draw more than one of the same card. Players generally get to determine precisely how the cards they have drawn will help define who their hero is and what he can do.

Heroic chivalry

Noble, bold heroes can often draw strength from their faith and beliefs. This can serve as an armor against sorcery, protect from illusion, provide a burst of strength in desperate times or allow persistence against otherwise impossible odds. This knighthood or chivalry need not stem from any formal order of knighthood although of course it may. Precisely what is the source of the internal strength and convictions that guide the hero are completely up to the player.

Choosing between narrow and broad and multiple cards

Cards from the "Heroic deeds" deck are defined by the player drawing the card as to how narrow or broad they are. A narrower card provides greater power but for a more limited scope. A broad definition of "Heroic chivalry" could be a hero formerly trained as a knight. This would include improved weapon training in relevant weapons, riding a horse, reading heraldry, proper court behavior, an understanding of politics and perhaps even a minor royal bloodline. Expending the card could allow for heroic spurring men into battle, successfully jousting against a formidable opponent, resisting a mind influencing magic and the like. A narrower definition might be for the hero to be a paladin of his order, being able to preform near magical feats of faith. This would come, for example, at the expense of being unable to enjoy the combat benefits of the broader definition of "Heroic chivalry". Expending the card could heal otherwise deadly wounds or perhaps shield against otherwise deadly magical attack. A single use definition for "Heroic chivalry" could be a knight who has left the knighthood for reasons of his own but still retains a pure and holy soul. Expenditure of the card in such an instance could produce effects similar to "Heroic holiness"
It is possible to draw two of the same "Heroic chivalry" cards. In such a case the hero should probably be considered a mighty paladin warrior enjoying the best of all worlds. Expending a card in this case could result is amazing acts of faith, belief or combat.
